The annual Networking Conference is a place where representatives of member- and partner organizations, as well as IYNF volunteers, meet to exchange ideas, network and influence the work of IYNF. It consists of two parts – one, which is more content-focused and education-oriented, and the second part, that plans the projects for the rest of the year and evaluates past activities.
This year the Networking Conference comes with a core topic Act-iv-ism redefined!
IYNF is presenting this youth meeting as an opportunity to get a glance of various forms of activism and participation as such, asking young people to reflect to their past and current ways of participation and look into the vast sea of possibilities to influence the life of their local communities, participate in decision making process and rise their voice for their cause. We believe that activism takes many forms: Doing nothing might support the current status quo in the world. Buying certain products and services indirectly influences the living conditions for communities near and far. We want to emphasize to young people that what they do and do not- matters equally. We want to inspire them to act, by showing the samples of so many ways to participate. By inviting inspiring speakers, who have taken their role in social change wheel by creating original and positive movements. IYNF creates events that give inspiration to participants, that makes organizations grow and develop and seek for more efficient ways to contribute to more harmonious, environmentally friendly, socially just community building around the World.
Thus we have built the program of 4 full days, full of workshops by experts and participants, possibilities to share ideas and plan projects in an inspiring environment of eco village in middle of Slovakia. The experts are coming from very various movements, giving us opportunity to connect participants with a different forms of activism, also challenging their ways of thinking and being, so that they are capable to access their own participation and better the work of their organizations and groups. The event is based on non-formal education approach, however will include also knowledge building by the input of the experts.
Eligible for: Representatives of IYNF Member and Partner organizations, volunteers, representatives of various yout organizations that share the values of IYNF and are willing to join the network.
