Two of our participants in the training “Pact for Impact I: Communication and Action”, who are particularly passionate about animal welfare, drafted a campaign to make dog shelters more attractive for volunteers, both on the local level and on a larger scale.

Especially if involving international young volunteers, for instance European Solidarity Corps (ESC), a dog shelter can become an entertainment centre for the local community offering diverse leisure activities and strengthening the sense of solidarity and inclusion, as well as the possibilities of education in human-animal interactions.

*Disclaimer: this campaign is for now just an ideation and has not been implemented yet.
